Van Gogh Residency + Tables

Immersive Van Gogh Charlotte commissioned thirteen local artists to paint Van Gogh-inspired picnic tables set up outside the venue at Camp North End. Palmisano was invited by Art Director Bree Stallings to submit some designs.

The two tables selected are based on Van Gogh’s “Wheat Field With Cypresses” and “Wheat Field Under a Clouded Sky.” After their stint at Immersive Van Gogh, the tables were donated to Holy Angels and Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool.

Palmisano was commissioned to create limited edition signed prints to be sold in the gift shop.

Immersive Van Gogh hosted a revolving residency program during their 6-month run. As an artist-in-residence, Palmisano was given a month to display her work onsite and actively collaborate with thousands of patrons. She invited the community to anonymously submit wishes - their biggest hopes and dreams proclaimed in ink. The vulnerability displayed on those strips of paper is striking. Palmisano has since used those wishes to create both small works and a public installation project.
