In a world obsessed with containment - borders, walls, and fences - what happens when we open ourselves up?
In the “This Hallowed Ground” installation, Palmisano conjured 360 degrees of altar space with an immersive art experience inside an up-cycled structure. Empty space was transformed into a mystical hive of interactive art. "This Hallowed Ground" hoped to inspire a feeling of awe and reverence for the magic and higher powers that be, while paying tribute to the elements that we so often take for granted: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Collaborators on the project were Glisel Rivas, Sheri Jenkins, and Krystle Baller.
