SAIL Art Afterschool Club 2024 Week 1

Week 1: Our artists' first day! We discovered the fundamentals of art by exploring different materials, including types of paint and paper. They not only learned the vocabulary associated with these mediums but also experimented with various techniques to understand how each material behaves. At the end of our time together, each artist created their own painting on canvas. Throughout the course of our club, students are developing a sketchbook that will be sent home on the last day. We all had a great time, and I’m looking forward to next week!
