ELIZABETH PALMISANO

This sculpture serves as a representation of the history and complexity of The Gold District in South End, Charlotte. The image is an abstraction of the surrounding roadway.

 

Although this area has seen many developments over time, the framework of the neighborhood has remained virtually the same. The objective of this piece is to serve as reminder to embrace change without forgetting to appreciate our past.
