About the Event

Join artist Sharon Dowell and ArtWalks CLT for a free guided artwalk in the NoDa neighborhood on Sunday, March 26 at 2:00 pm. Feel connected to the street art in NoDa and be part of the newest Gökotta-curated public art by Elizabeth Palmisano for the upcoming Link NoDa Apartments.

This one-hour and 15-minute walk begins at the Summit Coffee in NoDa and ends at Wooden Robot Brewery. Gather on the sidewalk out front of Summit Coffee around 1:50 pm. On-street parking is available on some nearby streets. Light rail access is from the Blue Line.

Sharon Dowell is a nationally known artist, muralist, painter and educator. Dowell’s murals are spread across the community and include locations at Camp North End, South End, Lower Tuck, East Charlotte, and uptown. Her abstract work captures energy, movement, and nature. Dowell was a Talking Walls muralist in 2018, a TedX Charlotte speaker, and is just completing a Gökotta-curated mural project in the Montford Road area. Elizabeth Palmisano is an award-winning mixed-media installation and fiber artist livingand working in Charlotte, NC. She was voted “Best Visual Artist” in the QC Nerve 2020 and 2022 Best in the Nest Awards. Palmisano's community work taps into the power of art, mindfulness, and experiential learning.
